3. Excellence in Professional Practice
Educational Administrators promote an environment of professional learning and innovation that empowers educators to enhance student learning through the infusion of contemporary technologies and digital resources. Educational Administrators:
Administrators can't know everything and must be willing an able to allow others to brings new ideas to the table. By allowing others in the learning environment to seek out and stay abreast of new technology in different areas no one become overloaded and can best judge if something actually has merit or is it a way to spend money on nothing.
I like your idea of allowing others to bring new ideas to the table. As administrators, it is important that we listen to our staff and get the tools they feel they need to create a technologically advanced learning environment.
ReplyDeleteI agree that as an administrator or leader it is real important that we just point the staff in a direction and then monitor their development to make sure that they are going in a positive direction. I to feel this way and I see that you do as well. Our vision may not be the correct vision for the staff and the students. By allowing the staff to have some input then we make sure that the products purchased are what the students need and what the staff can use.
ReplyDeleteI believe that when you allow everyone in the organization to share their ideas, they will be more willing to buy into what you are trying to implement. When they have in input in the decision making process they tend to take ownership in the process.
ReplyDeleteI agree. When you surround yourself with people of all areas of strengths and experiences, then you are building a team that can see all aspects of a situation. As a leader, we are just one person in the school. Without the support of the staff, it makes it much harder to provide a successful environment for our students.
